Strategy this week: Given it’s a full field and difficult to identify corollary courses, I will make stands on certain guys between $8.0 and $9.1k and distribute ownership across a number of guys in other price ranges. Also, deploying a small number of wave stacks given wind off the Pacific has destroyed a few guys in past years could get you an edge. Wind looks to be coming in late Friday – if you have a guy in the final groups needing an even back 9 to make the cut, grab a pillow buddy!

Draws

Favorite Play: Sahith Theegala ($9.1k) – The courses are a fit, the approaches are a fit, and the greenside numbers are a fit. It has been months since Sahith flashed the irons and the form has been middling for his own standards, but I expect this week to kickstart a great season.
Star Anchor: No anchor. Relatively distributed across Hideki, Henley and Connors whom all rate out in plus territory.
Biggest Misprice: Kurt Kitayama ($8.6k) – The Fall was so good for Kurt that I believe a price up to $9.5k would still have garnered ownership.
Gut Check: Lucas Glover ($7.3k) – Flashing a wee bit of form this Fall was all I needed for a guy who I believe still has winning upside.
Favorite Sub-$7,000: Ryan Gerard ($6.8k) – I’m reluctant to say too many nice things.
Punt: My player pool bottoms out at $6.6k with Frankie Capan. Carson Young ($6.7k) will anchor the bottom of many lineups.

One & Done: Theegala

Open outright bets with placements: Theegala 35-1, Straka 55-1, Novak 65-1, Glover 85-1
